With the numerous lochs and fast flowing rivers nearby, it is not surprising that Achray House is well positioned for the water sports enthusiast.
Loch Earn itself offers water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, wakeboarding (like snowboarding on the water), and knee-boarding, as well as tamer pursuits such as dinghy sailing, and simple boat hire.
Open canoeing (Canadian canoeing) is also available on Loch Tay and a number of other local lochs.
For the ultimate adrenalin rush, try white water rafting, on the nearby River Tay. If you get bitten by the bug, you can go on to more technically challenging rafting on the Tummel, Braan and Orchy rivers.
Your hosts, Alan and Jane Gibson will be happy to advise you on the various local organisations offering watersports.
