Christmas at Achray House is a very relaxed affair, covering the nights of 24th, 25th and 26th December.
Check in is anytime after 2pm on the afternoon of the 24th and from 6pm onwards guests are invited to the bar for a glass of Christmas punch. This is also a good time to meet the other guests, staff and of course some of the St Fillans local residents.
Our Christmas Eve dinner of three courses, coffee and mince pies will be served from 18:30 to 20:30. After dinner the natural gathering place is in the Niesh lounge, in front of the log fire.
For those who wish to attend, the Watch night service is in the village church at 23:30. It is a delightful service which really starts Christmas day off in the right spirit.
Christmas day breakfast is from 9:00 until 10:30. From 13:00 we will welcome guests to the bar for a drink before Christmas Lunch: a truly festive four course meal served from 15:00 to 16:30. Afterwards guests can please themselves with a quiet snooze, a chat in lounge or a Christmas Day walk to blow those cob-webs away. We serve a light buffet of soup and sandwiches for those who can manage in the evening from 20:00.
Boxing Day breakfast is from 9:00 until 10:30. Then for the day, there is a Car Treasure Hunt - a great way to see around the area and Strathearn in all its winter splendour. Have a walk, see the country side, ride a bike or whatever suits, but most of all - enjoy your day! There is a Church service at 12 noon where communion is given. Dinner will be served from 18:30 until 20:30 and later in the evening (approx 21:30) join in or sit back and enjoy our mind teasing quiz night.
This is the proposed plan over the three days, but changes may occur. We can accommodate special dietary requirements on request and welcome any ideas or suggestions for the festive holidays.
Christmas at Achray costs £640 for two people sharing a twin or double room.
