Start the day with a traditional Scottish breakfast overlooking Loch Earn.
At Achray House we try to serve the best of Scottish produce. Our smoked haddock is from the North Sea, landed in Peterhead and smoked over a mixture of pine and oak. We make our own smoked salmon, which is marinated in whisky and honey and then hot smoked over peat.
Our Lorne Sausages (a traditional Scottish sausage made from a mixture of pork and beef) and black pudding come from David Gourlay of Crieff, as does our dry cure back bacon which is produced from outdoor reared pigs from Strowan Farm in Strathearn. Our eggs are local free range, supplied by Gloag Farm, also in Strathearn.
Our coffee, a mature Java from Indonesia, and our tea are both supplied by Brodies of Edinburgh, who have been importing tea and roasting coffee since 1867.
Breakfast is served from 8:15 to 9:45, except at Christmas and New Year, when we our mornings tend to start later.
